Do not take our word for it

Questions

Does Flit read my source code?

No. It reads file and directory names, and the path of the document you have open. File contents are never read. The index lives in memory, is never written to disk, and never leaves your Mac.

Which editors work?

Terminal, iTerm, Warp, Xcode, VS Code, Cursor, Zed, Sublime, and JetBrains IDEs, plus any other app with a cursor. Terminals without a document still get verbatim mode.

Will it mangle my commit messages or comments?

In editors and terminals Flit runs in verbatim mode, so nothing is reworded. Prose formatting applies in chat, mail, and docs, where you want it.
