In the works
Flit for Windows is on the way.
Local dictation is coming to Windows: hold a key, speak, and finished text lands in any app, with nothing leaving your PC. Leave your email and we will write the day it is ready, and not before.
We email you a link to confirm. One email the day it is ready, Flit’s news in between, and you can leave in one click.

What to expect.
Flit is dictation that runs on your own machine: you hold a key, talk, let go, and finished text that fits the thread lands where your cursor is. The Windows version is the same thing, built for Windows.
The same rule.
Everything on your own PC: no server, no account, and nothing you say uploaded. Flit exists because dictation does not need the cloud, and the Windows version is being built on that rule.
Built for Windows.
Not a port. The Mac app was built for macOS, down to the key you hold and the way text lands at the cursor, and the Windows app is being built for Windows the same way.
One email, when it is ready.
There is no date yet, and we would rather not invent one. The people on this list hear the day it is ready, and until then they get Flit’s news and nothing else.
What Flit is on a Mac today.
Flit turns speech into finished text in about 0.7 seconds, in any app, and does all of it on the Mac. There is no server, no account and no subscription: it is paid once, and the features page lists everything it does.
The voice models are downloads you choose, from Parakeet V3 for English to Cohere Transcribe for the main European languages and Qwen3-ASR for 30. A personal dictionary learns your names and terms, snippets expand a phrase into a paragraph, and spoken commands handle punctuation, casing and structure.
If you want to see it before Windows is ready, the home page shows it working, and the Mac version is free for 7 days with every feature on.

When will Flit for Windows be ready?
There is no date yet. Flit for Windows is in the works, and the waitlist hears the day it is ready. We would rather say nothing than name a date we cannot keep.
What happens when I join the waitlist?
You get an email with a link to confirm. Once you click it, you are on Flit’s list: news about Flit while you wait, and an email the day the Windows version is ready. Every email has a link to leave, and one click is enough.
Can I run the Mac version on Windows?
No. Flit today is a Mac app for macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon, and there is nothing to download for Windows yet. That is what this page is for.
Will the Windows version run locally too?
That is the rule it is being built on. Flit exists so that dictation does not need a server, an account or an upload, and a Windows version that broke that rule would not be Flit.
